We seek a dynamic and suitable qualified candidate with substantial experience in related areas to fill the Group Chief Operating Officer position.

Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

  • Analyzes internal operations and identifies areas of process enhancement.
  • Develops actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term, and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the GCEO. 

2. Financials

  • Directly oversees Business Unit/ Division operations and partners with the GCEO on sales management to budget for sufficient investment capital to achieve growth targets over the near term. 
  • Aggressively manages capital investment and expenses to ensure the company achieves investor targets relative to growth and profitability. 
  • Monitors performance by tracking and establishing corrective measures as needed, and preparing detailed reports, both current and forecasting.
  • Accountable for the financial performance of the Divisions including planning to expand from the approved budget. 
  • Plans, prepares, and monitors the annual budget for the Divisions. 
  • Exercises proper administration of the Divisions including recommendation, controlling, and monitoring its annual budget within its delegated authority limit.

Major Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dynamic and suitable qualified candidate with substantial experience in related areas to fill the Head, Group Internal Audit & Risk Management position: 

  • To plan, organize, and manage internal audit activities to provide independent and objective assurance to Management and the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) on the state of the company’s internal control, risk management, and compliance with corporate governance.  
  • To act as a risk facilitator for the Group in the Enterprise Risk Management Framework process by compiling the risk identified by the Risk Owners and Risk Champions.

Responsibilities: 

1. Internal Audit 

  • To plan, prepare, and monitor the annual budget for GIA activities to ensure that audit expenses are within the approved budget. 
  • Review and evaluate the process for identifying, evaluating, and managing risks associated with the company & subsidiaries to ensure the enterprise-wide risk management process. 
  • Exercise proper administration of GIA including recommendation, controlling, and monitoring its annual budget, staff leaves, expense claims, etc. within its delegated authority limit. 
  • Review the Group’s audit universe and apply the risk matrix assessment to identify high-risk and value activities to develop an annual audit plan for reporting to the ARC. 
  • Review and present the Annual Audit Plan, the performance of the GIA for the year, Internal Audit reports and Investigation reports, and any other outstanding matters to ARC. 
  • Approve the commencement, scope, and objective of audit projects in line with the audit plan and supervise the auditors when conducting audit fieldwork and raising audit issues. 
  • Present to the Senior Management and Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) audit findings before finalization of the Internal audit reports. 
  • Provide timely audit reports to auditees with an opinion on the state of its internal control system, findings, and recommendations based on the audit carried out. 
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with business/support units to provide consultancy and advice in implementing new procedures and control. 
  • Maintain and ensure that audit activities are following IIA Standards. 
  • Ensure that work performed complies with the Internal Audit Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). 

2. Risk Management 

  • Act as a facilitator for the Group Enterprise Risk Management processes where assisting the Group’s Risk Champion and Risk Owners in identifying risks, key strategy risks, and action plans to mitigate the risks. 
  • Liaise with the Risk Champions and Risk Owners on the concerns raised by the ARC and BOD on the highlighted risks. 
  • Review and compile the Group’s Risk Register on the risks and the current status of the action plans received from the Risk Owners and Risk Champions in the shared folder. 
  • Regularly review and improve coordination of risk management activity throughout the Group, including facilitation process, education, and training on risk management issues and initiatives. 
  • Prepare the risk reports and presentation slide for presentation to GMC, ARC, and BOD meetings. 
  • Evaluate the process for identifying, evaluating, and managing risks associated with the Group of Companies to ensure relevant risks have been identified and assessed accordingly.

  • To achieve zero (0) Loss Time Injury (LTI) at the plant.
  • To conduct daily toolbox and talk to contractors before the commencement of works at the plants.

  • To always check and ensure the validity & usability of fire safety equipment at the plants.

 Duties and responsibilities in Unit (Labor Room): 

  • Provide nursing care to an expectant mother to help her prepare for and effectively move through the initial stages of labor from the point of admission till discharge from the labor room including assisting in complications during childbirth and preparing the mother for a cesarian section. 
  • Carry out care for patients in the labor process and provide management of care for postnatal including administration of epidural, induction of labor, and after cesarian section.  
  • Responsible for handling the necessary monitoring of the patient during this phase of childbirth such as timing and coaching the expectant mother to breathe through contractions and tracking her blood pressure.  
  • Monitor the baby’s heart rate to make sure that the baby is not experiencing any distress during the labor process. 
  • Set up and monitor medical equipment & devices such as patient monitor, CTG machine, oxygen delivery devices, and cannulation as required. 
  • Responsible for medication administration during induced labor as ordered by the consultant and performed patient monitoring as required. 
  • Evaluate the patient’s vital signs and fetal monitoring as ordered by the consultant and laboratory data to determine emergency intervention needs. 
  • Perform vaginal examination as required and perform other nursing procedures according to hospital policy and SOPs. 
  • Monitor patient’s fluid intake & output as required to determine emergency problems such as fluids and electrolyte imbalance. 
  • Monitor patient for changes in status and indication of conditions such as sepsis or shock and institute appropriate interventions.  
  • Assess the patient’s pain level & pain killer requirement. 
  • Administer painkillers as prescribed by the consultant to reduce labor pain.  
  • Carry out treatment plan as ordered by consultant in charge including medication prescribed and investigation required.  
  • Perform nursing procedure as written in Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Work Instruction (WI) 
  • Assisting doctor in procedures during labor and delivery as needed including epidural insertion, assist conduct delivery, receiving the newborn, resuscitation, and investigation procedures.  
  • Responsible for documentation including labor chart, epidural chart, and assessment form and also assisted in birth certification document.  
  • Provide support to mothers including assisting mothers on how to breastfeed and care for newborn babies. 
  • Provide health education to the mother on the care of wounds after normal delivery and cesarean section.  
  • Administration of vaccination to newborns.  
  • Provide care to newborn babies in the nursery including phototherapy.  
  • Assist patient in activity daily life and provide care to their needs.  
  • Keep nursing documentation updated and ensure effective documentation in patient safety. 
  • Ensure all disposable items or equipment used to be charged in HIS. 
  • Able to communicate and collaborate with other clinical teams according to clinical pathway.

  • Maintains a cooperative and good relationship among healthcare teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; and participating in team problem-solving methods. 
  • Daily / shift reporting to the Head Nurse of the unit such as patient progress, staffing issues, customer feedback, biomedical equipment, and disposable inventory by the Team Leader of the day/shift. 
  • Works collaboratively with other departments/units for the company’s activities/programs when needed. 

Duties and Responsibilities at Clinic Unit: 

  • Provide nursing care to patients from the point of registration till discharge from the specialist clinic. 
  • Ensure the medical folders are ready for the clinic session with laboratory results are ready as required.  
  • Set up and monitor medical equipment & devices such as patient monitors, oxygen delivery devices, and cannulation before clinic sessions. 
  • Assist patient to Preliminary Room for vital sign check, height, and weight measurement after registration before consultant review in clinic.  
  • Assist and chaperone physicians in the clinic or provision of patient care. 
  • Carry out treatment plan as ordered by consultant in charge including medication prescribed and investigation required. 
  • Perform nursing procedures as written in Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Work Instruction (WI). 
  • Carry out preparation for the patient before the procedure, including cannulation and blood taking, and provide care management for post-procedure. 
  • Responsible for sending patients to treatment units, investigation laboratories, operating theatres, or other areas and maintaining patient safety.  
  • Collect and handling specimens, laboratory items, or pharmacy items, ensuring proper documentation and delivery to authorized personnel. 
  • Responsible for disposable items and medication charges in HIS. 
  • Key in the appointment given by the consultant in the Health Information System correctly and ensure the appointment card is given to the patient accordingly. 
  • Responsible to inform Head Nurse in Charge if there is any changes or cancellation of clinic.  
  • Ensure clinic cleanliness and safe environment. 
  • Stock or issue medical supplies, such as dressing packs or treatment trays. 
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies including disposable items and medication.  
  • Do various tasks, such as assisting with set up and maintenance of traction equipment, cleaning, or sterilizing equipment, and maintaining and repairing equipment.
  • Ensure all biomedical equipment’s inventory are updated and ensure bio medical devises are switched off before clinic closing.  
  • Responsible for informing of any lost or damaged equipment/instrument to the Head Nurse in charge.

Requirements:

  • Qualified SRN / MA with a minimum Diploma in Nursing Science / Diploma in Medical Assistant and registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board / Medical Assistant Board. 
  • Must have a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
