Major Responsibilities:

Occupational, Safety, Health, and Environment (OSHE)
- Responsible for ensuring all related statutory requirements and compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 as a competent person SHO representing UiTM Private Healthcare Sdn Bhd and UiTM Private Specialist Centre.
- Understand the application of OSHA and other legislation relevant to the company's business.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in current legislation and bring to the attention of the top management responsible for health and safety any relevant new legislation.
- Attending such courses and seminars run by external sources will enable accurate interpretation of legislation and implementation within the organization.
- Ensure that all assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals, and maintain records of the same.

- Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports on all the company's operations (Safety Patrol).

Quality Management
- Assist the Executive of Quality and Sustainability in maintaining all document files and quality records in a timely and accurate manner.

- Assist the Executive of Quality and Sustainability, running hospital activities to achieve ISO/MSQH standards/accreditations (i.e., to incorporate elements of patient safety and standard requirements in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs).
- Assist the Executive of Quality and Sustainability in monitoring the implementation of quality process improvement initiatives to improve processes, and efficiency and ensure patient safety.

Risk Management

Compliance & Governance
- Assist the Head of Quality and Sustainability to ensure all related hospital documents are in compliance with the Private Healthcare Facilities and Service Act 1998 & and Regulations 2006 and other laws and regulations related to hospital/healthcare.
- Assist the Head of Quality and Sustainability in monitoring compliance documentation of hospital licensing CKAPS and all related licenses.

- Provide nursing care to an expectant mother to help her prepare for and effectively move through the initial stages of labor from the point of admission till discharge from the labor room including assisting in complications during childbirth and preparing the mother for a cesarian section.
- Carry out care for patients in the labor process and provide management of care for postnatal including administration of epidural, induction of labor, and after cesarian section.
- Responsible for handling the necessary monitoring of the patient during this phase of childbirth such as timing and coaching the expectant mother to breathe through contractions and tracking her blood pressure.
- Monitor the baby’s heart rate to make sure that the baby is not experiencing any distress during the labor process.
- Set up and monitor medical equipment & devices such as patient monitor, CTG machine, oxygen delivery devices, and cannulation as required.
- Responsible for medication administration during induced labor as ordered by the consultant and performed patient monitoring as required.
- Evaluate the patient’s vital signs and fetal monitoring as ordered by the consultant and laboratory data to determine emergency intervention needs.
- Perform vaginal examination as required and perform other nursing procedures according to hospital policy and SOPs.
- Monitor patient’s fluid intake & output as required to determine emergency problems such as fluids and electrolyte imbalance.
